Privacy policy

1. General

Meirav's Studio (הסטודיו של מירב), owned by Meirav Sabag Rachamim (מירב סבג רחמים), Licensed Dealer (Osek Murshe) No. 029616554 ("the Business", "we") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, and the regulations enacted under it, including the Protection of Privacy Regulations (Data Security), 5777-2017. This policy explains what information we collect, why, with whom it is shared and what your rights are. It applies to the use of the Website, registration with it, purchases and the studio's services.

The Business is the controller of the information collected on the Website. For any question, you can contact us using the contact details at the bottom of the page.

2. What information we collect

Information you provide to us

• When registering for an account: first and last name, email address, password and mobile phone number. In addition, only if you choose to provide them, your day and month of birth (without the year of birth), for sending a birthday benefit. The password is managed by the Wix platform's identity system, and we do not store it or see it.
• When signing in with Facebook or Google: the provider passes to us, through Wix, the details you agreed to share when signing in, usually your name, email address and profile picture. These details are used only to open the account and to identify you on later sign-ins. We do not receive the password to your account with the provider.
• When ordering: shipping and billing address, details of the products ordered and notes on the order.
• When contacting us or booking a studio appointment: the content of your inquiry and information relevant to the service.
• For piercing services at the studio: health information collected in the health questionnaire. This is information of special sensitivity. Its controller is Meirav Sabag Rachamim (מירב סבג רחמים), the studio's owner, and it is collected only to assess suitability for piercing, to perform the service safely and to document it. It will not be used for marketing. A detailed notice on the collection of the information, its safekeeping and access to it is provided in the questionnaire itself, before it is filled in.

Information collected while you use the Website

• Technical information, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and visit times, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
• The contents of the shopping bag and, for a registered user, also the order history.

Payment

Credit card details are provided directly to the authorized payment providers and are not stored by us. We receive from them only the payment confirmation and partial details, such as the last four digits of the card.

You are not legally required to provide us with information. However, without the information required we will not be able to open an account, fulfil an order or provide a service.

3. Why we use the information

• To receive, process and fulfil orders, collect payment, handle cancellations, returns and warranty claims, and provide customer service.
• To manage your account, show your order history, save your shopping bag and enable repeat purchases.
• To send you a birthday benefit, if you provided your birthday. You can ask at any time for it to be deleted.
• To book and manage studio appointments and to perform the treatment safely.
• To send updates, promotions and benefits, only if you have expressly consented to this (see section 5).
• To operate, secure and improve the Website, and to prevent fraud and misuse.
• To comply with legal requirements, such as keeping accounting records.

4. With whom the information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only to the extent necessary and for the purposes above, with:

• The Wix platform, on which the Website runs. It stores the information and processes it for us, including accounts, orders, the shopping bag and checkout. The information may be stored on servers outside Israel, in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Regulations (Transfer of Data to Databases Abroad), 5761-2001.
• Payment providers, such as credit card acquirers and PayPal, to process the payment and prevent fraud.
• Shipping and postal companies, to deliver the order. They receive the name, address and phone number.
• Other service providers acting on our behalf, such as mailing services, subject to an undertaking to keep the information confidential.
• Competent authorities, where the law requires it or to protect our rights.

5. Marketing mailings

We will send you advertising, such as promotions and benefits, only if you ticked your consent to this when registering or in another way, in accordance with section 30A of the Communications (Telecommunications and Broadcasting) Law, 5742-1982. You may withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link that appears in every mailing, or by contacting us. Service messages that relate only to your order, such as an order confirmation and a shipping update, will be sent even without consent to mailings, and they will not include marketing content. We will keep a record of the consent to mailings and of its withdrawal. The right to refuse mailings is yours at any time, whether or not you continue to be a customer.

6. Cookies

The Website uses cookies and the browser's local storage as required for its operation: saving the shopping bag, keeping you signed in to your account and securing the Website. As of the date of the update, the Website does not use third-party analytics tools, pixels or advertising cookies. When registering and signing in, the Website uses Google's reCAPTCHA service to verify that the action is performed by a person and not by automated software. For this purpose Google collects technical information about the device and its use, in accordance with Google's privacy policy and terms of use. If such tools are added, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but blocking essential cookies may impair the operation of the Website.

7. Information security

We take reasonable and accepted measures to protect the information, including encrypted communication (HTTPS), storage on a secure platform and limiting access to the information to those who need it. However, no system is completely immune, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized intrusion.

8. Retention of information

The information is kept for as long as the account is active, or as long as required for the purposes for which it was collected, for handling inquiries and claims, and for complying with legal requirements, such as keeping records for tax purposes. After that it will be deleted or anonymized.

9. Your rights

• Access: to review the information kept about you (section 13 of the Protection of Privacy Law).
• Correction: to ask for information that is not correct, complete, clear or up to date to be corrected or deleted (section 14 of the Law).
• Removal from mailings: to ask to be removed from mailing lists.
• Closing your account: to ask for your account to be closed. When it is closed, we will delete the account details, except for information we must keep by law, such as order records for tax purposes, which will be kept only for the period required.

To exercise these rights, please email meirav.sabag@gmail.com. We may ask to verify your identity before handling the request. We will respond within the time frame set by law.

10. Minors

The Website is not intended for collecting information from minors without the consent of a parent or guardian. If we learn that such information has been collected without consent, we will act to delete it.

11. Changes to the policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page. We will announce any material change on the Website or by email.
